Tomato paste in can usually turns out to be such a waste. You only need a tbsp. or so generally. Once I discovered paste in a tube, I said goodbye to the cans. The first time I bought it I forgot to refrigerate it once it was opened...oops.
My newest and most favorite "essential" is All-Clad's new slow cooker. So far I've made killer ossobuco, meat sauce, beef stroganoff, and pea soup. It's great to have a nice dinner waiting when we get home from work. I love the paste in the tube too.
By day, I am a corporate career woman. By night, I am a mother and self-professed foodie. I love my job, my family, my friends and cooking! I live in Ohio and work in the banking and insurance industry as a strategist. As I explain in my first blog entry, cooking is a stress and creativity outlet for me. I also love to share my experiences and give life, cooking, career etc. advice especially to my friends. This blog is just another way of sharing a part of me with my friends, family and anyone else who might want to listen.

I like this tip! But I have a confession to make: when I cook with tomato paste, I often (gasp!) eat the unneeded extra right out of the can.
